How many days did your Dell order take when buying using the phone?

I ordered a Dell desktop but i wanted to find out how many days did it take other people to get their order. I ordered mine on 23 August 07. And what do you think about the new dell dimension 531 and vista home premium.

When i placed my order they gave me a delivery date there and then!

The person who sold it to you over the phone, is you sales manager, ring them back! number on the letter/email you would have got, and ask! it took 8 days for my desktop and 10 days for my laptop! from day of order.. so it shouldnt take long.... and i bolted loads on.

so give them a call!

Dell has just announced that there will be a delay on all notebook shipments.



Something about not being able to get all the components needed. Sounds like a China problem to me.

Then a few weeks later it was delayed, and I was told it would ship on 8/27. I gave up and canceled the order. Seriously, 25 days or more to assemble a computer??? Mine took 5 days to arrive and you have made a good choice, if you have selected enough memory taking into account that Vista takes up a lot more memory than xp, good luck with your new systm.

I got a Dell about 5 years ago and it took about a week for it to be made. And about another few days to be shipped. But in the end I had to wait 2 weeks. Because the people they shipped it through had it at their warehouse for a few days and ultimately had to pick it up in town. Paid 150 for shipping and could not do anything about it because it made it to the town and not to my house. Damn Airbourne Express. Good Luck
