I have a Dell Inspiron E1705 with an internal wireless card (1500 Draft 8.11n mini). My laptop got dropped this morning and now the wireless card is not showing up in the device manager. I opened up the laptop and the card looks to be intact and the connections look solid as well. I'm afraid there is something I am missing. Many things can be damaged when a lap top is dropped. If in warranty send or take in for repairs.
Make sure the wireless card is enabled by going to devise manager and update the driver.

Is your wireless maybe accidentally got disabled?
Um.. maybe the impact on the laptop when it dropped to the floor did an internal damage that you cannot see on the wireless adapter card.
I'm not exactly sure what it is.
