How can I view a picture cd burnt on an Acer computer, on my dell windows 7 computer?

I just got married and the photographer gave us a picture cd that was burnt on her Acer laptop. It absolutely WILL NOT open the pictures on my computer. I have a dell with windows 7. Any ideas on how to get these pics to open?? Thanks. How can I view a picture cd burnt on an Acer computer, on my dell windows 7 computer?it has nothing to do with computer brand, it has to do with software and method used to burn it, can you explore the CD at all and see the files? are they just raw file format and you don't have the software to view.

is it scratched or boogered up with fingerprints?

have you attempted to open the CD with burning software?

i might check back to see if you have added any info

ok, download google picasa, it has a lot of support for RAW file formats, which your pro photog. would have likely shot in, the problem is you don't have software that will open raw.

try them with picasa, if your still having trouble, email me 1 of the files skh12atyahoodotcom and i will take a look at it

now be advised, the raw images will not look like what comes from your pocket camera, raw images are not processed so they wont look like anything you want to print, the pocket cameras make all the processing decisions for you, and most times the results are good, pros like to make those decisions on a nice big screen and adjust everything to get the best possible result, they have much more control, so don't be alarmed that the pictures look grainy, or just not right, that's what you get with RAW they must be "processed"
