Can I use a Dell Windows XP cd to get into recovery console on a non Dell computer?
The Dell disc is XP Pro, but the installation on the other computer is media center? Does that matter? I just need to run the fixmbr command.Can I use a Dell Windows XP cd to get into recovery console on a non Dell computer?It's not a Dell Windows XP cd, its just Windows XP, the fact that it has Dell stuff on it is the image that they created and put on ur PC.Can I use a Dell Windows XP cd to get into recovery console on a non Dell computer?you don't need a Disc to recovery a computer that have xP in XP it already build in where you can auto recovery without using OS, but what you can do is reformate or delete all the files inside that Hard drive and use that Xp OS on it. good luck mate.Can I use a Dell Windows XP cd to get into recovery console on a non Dell computer?hi dirty street, windows XP is windows media center but if you own it on your own and that you are not using someone elses media center diskett that is breaking dells rules now if you are going to do it right what you should do is order from dell a new media center win xp then format your hard drive then install windows media center win xp. i know it is a pain but look at it like this it is better to install a legal system than an illegal one. good luck hope i was helpful to you
