He left for the Army in Israel because the Israel government is making him, plus they are going to train him in computers. Maybe if armageddon happens and the US institutes a draft, after Congress debates it, passes it, the President signs it, the relevant federal agencies promulgate the rules regulating it, and all the major issues are adjudicated, then you will have an answer to your question.
