Can military persons be served by State courts while on active duty?

It is my understanding that there is a federal statute that deals with service of process on military personnel. Does anyone know where I could find it? I am guessing that there are huge jurisdictional issues! Can military persons be served by State courts while on active duty?If you broke the law or are involved with something that required you to be served you will be served. It may get you in even more trouble with your chain of command depending on what it is but you are not protected from the law just because you are in the military. The thing you may be thinking of is the MILITARY, DOD, DON, DOA, DOAF, DOT cannot be sued by civilians. You also cannot be sued for doing your job, but other than that you are free game for any crime you commit or any other obligation you may be avoiding by being in the military, ie child support. Can military persons be served by State courts while on active duty?
