What degree/diploma should a Canadian individual wanting to make a career in the military work towards?

I mean, if my ultimate goal is to be a high placed military personnel within the national security apparatus, what should my educational qualifications be ?

Thank you so very much for your time and effort.

God Bless. What degree/diploma should a Canadian individual wanting to make a career in the military work towards?Okay I'm from Toronto . I'm joining this summer. If you want to be a high place military person. You gotta goto university and complete at least a 4 year degree. If you don't you'll be a non-comissioned memeber. you'll never make a lot of money compared to an Officer. You can only be an Officer if you have a university degree. You'll start out as a 2nd Lieutenant, and you'll make your way up to a full Colonel. That may take 20-25 years cause in Canada cause you have to complete a number of years in a rank. It;s not like the USA were you could be a Colonel in 6-7 years. But you'd have to fight off an army by your self and win tones of medals to get to that rank that fast.. No matter what your job is , An officer is always in control and people have to listen to you. If your lucky you might make it to General. But that is very hard.

Officer Ranks

O-1 2nd Lieutenant

o-2 1st Lieutenant

o-3 Captain

0-4 Major

o-5 Lieutenant Colonel

o-6 Colonel

o-7 to -10 General ( there are 4 ranks of General )

2nd Lieutenant to Captain . these's ranks you will get to no matter what unless your a horrible officer. After Captain you have to earn your rank to Major and so on.What degree/diploma should a Canadian individual wanting to make a career in the military work towards?Hi Jordan, can you please let me know of a way I can contact you. Please ?

Thanks in advance.

God bless.
