What military options are there for woman?

I want to join the military. I want to help. But I do not what woman are allowed to do. I heard that they can not do infantry. why not? What other positions are there?What military options are there for woman?You can not fight in combat ( which sucks) you could be amln MP ( military police) a medic, yoi could be an enginer on the jeeps amd stuff and you can fix the guns thats some of the stuff i know : )What military options are there for woman?

it's not that they can't, it's because infantry is a combat unit and women don't belong there.



The greatest thing any combat unit has working for it is unit cohesion.



The number one killer on the battlefield: distraction.



You get distracted - you die. Women - whether we want to admit it or not - are a distraction. In our society - and most - men look after their women. They look at us and see their mother and sister, their daughter ...



You put a woman into a combat unit and one of three things is going to happen:



1. The guys are constantly watching after her to make sure she is okay.

2. The guys resent her and are constantly focusing negative attention on her.

3. The guys are checking out her butt.



It doesn't matter if these things are right or not - one of the three will happen. And any one of them is a distraction.



Anything that takes someones mind off of the mission, takes their attention away from the situation, will get that person killed. Sure, men in combat look after one another as well, but while they trust that the man beside them has them covered and in turn they are watching the man next to them, I don't think it is the same sort of constant eye that they would keep if that person next to them was a woman. A different instinct would kick in.



We can sit here and argue all day about woman's rights and all that ... but at the end of the day the most important thing is our troop safety and if that means I can't serve in an infantry combat unit, so be it.



There are many other important jobs in the military necessary to the success on the battlefield. There has to be a line where what you want as an individual must be sacrificed for the greater good.What military options are there for woman?It's never a good idea for a female to take on a combat role in the military. Physiological differences between males and females tend to.. well...



Here's an example: Once a month, a female is incapacitated for a time. females also tend to be generally much weaker than males. Females also tend to be mentally less suitable for a battlefield situation.



That said, I wold like to point out that this most certainly is not true for all females. There are always brave women willing to step up and push past their limitations to fight with their brothers to defend our great nation, and I hold them in the same high regard as I do any member of our armed forces. It's just not for everyone, especially most women.

If you got into the Air Force with a college degree, you could fly C-17 cargo aircraft all over the place, and then transition into a commercial airlines job afterwards.
Women have about 40% less upper body strength and about 1/2 less cario endurance than men. They are not well suited for the jobs they are not allowed to the do in the Military. This is no more discrimination than it is discrimatory to say men may not give birth. There are plenty of other positions in the military where women can serve and without the 17% of the Army that is made up of women we could not function. All positions are necessary.
