How can I tell the different military branches apart?

I always have trouble telling the different branches of the US military apart while in uniform.How can I tell the different military branches apart?Since most are done with the BDU's it's event easier.

Army = green

Marines = brown

Airforce = blueish-green

Navy = dark blue

Dress uniforms are a bit different:

Army = green

Airforce = blue

Marines = really impressive looking, make you jelous

Navy = way too manyHow can I tell the different military branches apart?
On the uniform it will say the branch right in the front across from there name.How can I tell the different military branches apart?http://fredwelker.com/REAGAN.FUNERAL.SLI鈥?/a>

US Air Force (Much like the Army's but different pattern) - http://www.tigerstripeproducts.com/Site/鈥?/a>
The work uniform for the Army looks like a discolored tent and has a LOT of Velcro, also they wear either a cap or a beret.

Marines have either a dark green digital camouflage or a brownish-tan camo work uniform on. On their heads they wear a "Cover", the most impressive one any branch has, it is flat on the top and has points that almost give it the appearance of having an anchor in it.

The navy I've heard has blue camo, and I don't know about the airforce, never really checked into them... but just look up the branches...

you can always tell a Marine apart. They're the ones who stand up tallest, they have an atmosphere of pride, and they're always the best looking. ;)How can I tell the different military branches apart?For Army/Marines, it's just a matter of looking at the pattern on the uniform, the Army uses ACU and the Marines use MARPAT. You might also note that Marines often roll their sleeves up over the bicep.

However, to make it trickier, you might also find sailors in Marpat, if they are corpsmen attached to a Marine unit.

The Navy either wears coveralls, which are dark blue, or NWUs, which are blue/gray digital camouflage. If Navy personnel are serving in other environments, such as Iraq or Afghanistan, then (as of right now I think) they will wear Desert BDUs (older style desert camo) but there are new uniforms on the way.

The Air Force wears their own 'tiger-strip' camouflage uniforms, with green boots.

Dress uniforms tend to be much more distinctive--

Marines are either in brown or blue uniforms, notable because the pants are a different color. This one should be the easiest to recognize and remember because it doesn't change much over the years. You will sometimes see Marines in khaki shirts/blue trousers as well.

For the Navy, E-1 - E-6 dress uniforms are the 'cracker jacks' that are also extremely distinctive. Depending on the season these are either blue or white. There is also a new service uniform consisting of black pants and a khaki shirt.

E-7 - O-10 have a very different uniform, either the traditional double-breasted Navy blue uniform with brass buttons, the white 'chokers' with a stand-up collar, or the new khaki double breasted uniform. For a service uniform, this group wears a khaki shirt and khaki pants.

The Army used to be green dress uniforms, now they are moving to a dress blue that bears some similarity to the Navy but seems to have more 'trimming' to be somewhat descriptive about it.

The Air Force wears light blue dress uniforms, sometimes just a light blue dress shirt + uniform pants.How can I tell the different military branches apart?
