Here in the states alot of them are on routine patrol on military posts. They are just trying to catch speeders. I know that is how it is here at Ft Bragg, NC. Now in Iraq they do the same thing on post, but some get sent to pull security for convoys and supply routes, but not many. It just depends on what your specific unit's mission is, but most work on base.
