My grandpa Donald Blom confessed to kidnapping and killing a girl in 1999, and is serving life without parole. Will the military look into this, and will it have any influence or affect if I decide to take up a career in any military branch? If you job requires a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) they will look at it and note it but it won't have any affect.
