R&P: Which album/song would you love to turn into an off Broadway musical?

Canadian neuroscientist and Nobel Prize laureate, Punch here having spent most of the weekend out on the town. I accompanied my new facial hair and temporary "hipster/goth" attire to a preview of RE-ANIMATOR THE MUSICAL

And I had a thought, in these days where everything from Green Day's American Idiot to Bono/ The Edge's Spiderman is fodder for the stage, I bet R%26amp;P can beat them at their own game!

Which album/song/ Artist's work would you love to turn into an off Broadway musical?

Have Fun!R%26amp;P: Which album/song would you love to turn into an off Broadway musical?
The Black Parade- My Chemical Romance: An epic story of death and someone's life. The songs are catchy and epic. This album was made for it be turned into something greater thanks to the ambition that is present

Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge- My Chemical Romance: Like Black Parade, it has a story that is full of love and gore. Sure, the music isn't 10/10 stuff, but it would be entertaining and may make the musical experience more diverse in terms of subject range.

Year Zero- Nine Inch Nails: A bleak future may be more suited for the tv screens than the stage, but still entertaining to transform one of the best albums of the last five years into a musical

Antichrist Superstar- Marilyn Manson: A dark story of nihilsm and hatred and grotesque imagery would make a fascinating musical. It even has characters and a clear story (well, wikipedia helped in understanding it)

Ones that are probably far too hard and the stories are complex or vague:

Daydream Nation- Sonic Youth: This 80's classic might be hard and is very complex, and might be near impossible, but the song references to drugs and life are drenched with enough emotion to create a back story that is full of meaning

Viva La Vida- Coldplay: Deals with war and revolution, something that a musical could be made into

Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness- Smashing Pumpkins: There is a track on this CD for every single emotion, from F*ck you (an ode to no one) to Tonight, Tonight. A diverse and ambitious CD would be a great soundtrack to a musical

Ok Computer- Radiohead: not a concept album, but if their was to be a musical dealing with themes such as alienation in modern society, this would be perfect
Ooo... hello Punch :)

Can you imagine Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" as a musical?!
A tale of two couples in relationship self-destruct, but still bound together by circumstance, and their friend trying to keep everyone happy despite his own personal life falling apart. Of course, it would have to be set in the let 70s...

And I would keep 'Silver Springs' {full, 6+ mins version} right where it should be ~ following 'Go Your Own Way', and include Stevie's demo of 'Planets of the Universe', which was recorded during the "Rumours" sessions.

Sailing the Seas of Cheese - Primus

I think it would be a funny/weird musical.

I love the idea of turning Rumours-Fleetwood Mac into a musical that would be sweet.
I think Type O Negative's "Slow Deep and Hard" would make for a rather interesting musical :)R%26amp;P: Which album/song would you love to turn into an off Broadway musical?
The Dayglo Abortions - DeathRace 2000
Can you imagine Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" as a musical?!
Operation: Mindcrime - Queensryche
Origin of Symmetry-Muse
Led Zeppelin The Song Remains The Same
The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway - Genesis or

Joe's Garage - Frank Zappa
The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance
Kid Cudi Man on the Moon 1
tommy-the who
Snow - Spock's Beard

Operation: Mindcrime - Queensryche

SMiLE - Brian Wilson (or hey, the Beach Boys now) (this one would be more up for interpretation than the first two)
Album-wise:

Bowie's made a bunch: Ziggy Stardust, Diamond Dogs, Aladdin Sane all could be turned into a musical fairly easily, amongst others. The Kinks' Arthur would work well, too.

The Hold Steady's Separation Sunday is a fairly obvious one, too:

XTC's Skylarking would be fun: It deals with the seasons, and I could see a lot of neat set design/atmosphere going into it, with the plot of a fellow raised on pagan rituals (Summer's Cauldron) who falls in love with a girl (Grass/The Meeting Place), but the relationship's slowly falling apart (That's Really Super, Supergirl), even as he attempts to hold it together (Earn Enough for Us). The guy leaves to go "find himself" (The Man Who Sailed Around His Soul) and then comes back to realize his Judeo-Christian faith is gone (Dear God) and his girlfriend is passing away (Dying), so he takes comfort in the pagan rituals he knew growing up (Sacrificial Bonfire). I'm sure it would have plenty of protests, but the plot more than suggests itself!

(Several other great songs on that CD! These were just the most plot-oriented ones I could come up with from memory.)
I have been touting my idea for a show to many Impresarios for ages, but they say that a story plot like this just wouldn't work. Scenario:

Narrated by a criminologist (Charles Gray), tells the tale of newly engaged couple ("Dammit Janet"), Brad Majors and Janet Weiss, who find themselves lost and with a flat tire on a cold and rainy, late November evening ("Over at the Frankenstein Place") . Seeking a phone with which to call for help at a nearby castle, Brad and Janet discover a group of strange and outlandish people who are holding an Annual Transylvanian Convention. They watch as the Transylvanians, servants, and a tap dancing groupie dance the "Time Warp", the film's signature song.

So, I am currently working on a Show called "Billy the Mountain", but the problem is, as always, finance. Brief plot:

"The intricate and absurd story its lyrics encompass, that of a mountain named Billy and his wife Ethell, a tree "growing off of his shoulder."

I have big hopes for this.
