Does The Spiderman Musical take place in the View Askewniverse?

The Spiderman Musical takes place on Broadway, which is part of the universe. The universe is commonly defined as the totality of everything that exists, including all physical matter and energy, the planets, stars, galaxies, and the contents of intergalactic space. The character of Spiderman is part of the Marvel Universe, which is further depicted as existing within a "multiverse" consisting of thousands of separate universes, all of which are the creations of Marvel Comics and all of which are, in a sense, "Marvel universes". But all the Marvel universes were created within "the" universe.

Kevin Smith was also created within "the" universe, and so was his fictional universe, the View Askewniverse. The View Askewniverse doesn't consist of thousands of separate universes, like the Marvel universe does, but it is plausible that the thousands of Marvel universes may actually include the View Askewniverse.

Since the creators of the Spiderman Musical have never explicitly stated that the production is NOT part of the View Askewniverse, and since the Marvel universe consists of thousands of separate universes, it is plausible to conjecture that the Spiderman Musical may actually be taking place in the View Askewniverse. In addition, Kevin Smith has also never explicitly stated that the View Askewniverse does NOT take place on Earth-616, the primary continuity of the Marvel universe where most Marvel Comics take place, which would logically include Spiderman.

So the question is impossible to answer, unless it can be put directly to the producers of the Spiderman Musical, or Kevin Smith, or one of Kevin Smith's characters within the View Askewniverse.Does The Spiderman Musical take place in the View Askewniverse?
yes, in that every element of the Spiderman universe, a relatively well known convention, has been altered to conform to the ego of a single creator. Most people know the story of Spiderman they read the comics, they watch the cartoons, they watch the movies. . . So many people support Spiderman in fact that a mulit million dollar musical was justified. Instead of trusting the established narrative and characters that got her the job, Julie Taymor configured the musical to be a reflection of herself. She speaks in a visual and narrative language that she coined; so instead of spiderman you get . . . spider shoe shopping sprees. Likewise, Kevin Smith an equally and truly larger than life creator assumes that mass audiences will want to see him drawing pictures of himself on screen. . . perhaps they do.

both perceptions of the world = askewDoes The Spiderman Musical take place in the View Askewniverse?
sort of -- Kevin Smith writes comics, and spiderman was originally a comic--even before the movies

and cartoons.

anyone else? this is a tough one.
