How do I remove my operating system for Dell Vista?

I have a Dell Vista laptop. I have been having some trouble with it and I would like to remove the operating system and then re install it. I have the operating system disk do I can do it, I just don't know how to remove the operating system first. I tried calling Dell for support and they were trying to make me pay over $100 bucks just to tell me what to do. Ridiculous. Does anybody know how to remove the operating system? Or at least have a few suggestions? How do I remove my operating system for Dell Vista?Put operating system in and restart the computer. Disc should be bootable which means that computer should pick it up autmaticcally and it will say something like press a key to enter setup so press any button on keyboard.

Once you're inside setup it will show you the space of each of your partitions e.g. C drive has 200GB D drive has 400GB thats if you have D drive. If you only have one drive it will only show you one doesn't really matter.

Make sure you backup all your data before you even try doing any of this. Choose the drive you want to install windows on and delete that partition. Than create that partition again and it will ask you to format it before you can install windows on it. Format it and everything on that partition will be delete and it will automatically start installing windows on it again.

100 dollars is too much for something like this. This is an easy job. Just go on google and search guides on how to install windows vista on dell laptops. I bet you will get better guides step by step ones. How do I remove my operating system for Dell Vista? We do apologize if your expectations weren't set properly.

But if you want assistance we do have a free support website for you:
